Frontal fibrosing alopecia (FFA) is a primary lymphocytic cicatricial alopecia with a distinctive pattern involving the hair line, eyebrows and other hair-bearing areas, first described by Kossard as a progressive recession of the frontal hairline in postmenopausal white women.
